For iPhone

A faith companion in your pocket.

Ember opens your morning with a verse, listens any hour of the day, and remembers what you're carrying — so your walk with God doesn't stay a Sunday thing.

7-day free trial. Ember is AI, and we never pretend otherwise.

How it works

Two minutes to set up. Then it just shows up.

  1. Download and say hi

Tell Ember your first name, when you wake up, and one to three things you want to grow in — patience, prayer, anxiety, marriage, grief, whatever's real right now.

  2. Wake up to a verse

At your chosen time, a notification: one verse and a few honest lines written for what you're actually carrying. Never the same verse twice in ninety days.

  3. Talk whenever you need to

Open the thread at 2 p.m. or 2 a.m. Share what happened, ask for prayer, ask the question you'd be embarrassed to ask out loud. Ember remembers, and follows up.

What Ember does

Small, daily, and specific to you.

  • A morning verse, at your time

A push notification when you wake: one verse with its reference, plus a short reflection or prayer shaped by your week — not a generic devotional.

  • Chat any hour

Replies in a few short lines. Warm, plain, pointing to Scripture. No platitudes, no lectures. It'll pray with you when you ask, and sometimes ask one good question back.

  • Remembers your life

Your kids' names. The surgery on the 12th. The interview Thursday. Ember keeps track and checks in the morning of and the day after. On Sunday evening, it looks back over your week with you.

  • Gentle check-ins

A light nudge on the areas you chose — and it backs off on its own if you go quiet. Never more than one unprompted message a day besides the morning one, and nothing between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.

  • Crisis-aware

If something you say sounds like you're in danger, Ember drops the script. It responds with care and points you to real people — 988 in the US, or your local emergency line — every time.

  • Honest about being AI

Ember is software. We say so here, in the app, and it says so if you ask. It is not your pastor, and when the honest answer is “talk to your pastor or your people,” that's what it says.

Questions

Fair things to ask.

Is this a real person?

No. Ember is an AI, built and tuned by us to speak plainly, point to Scripture, and know its limits. We say so up front, and if you ask Ember directly, it will tell you. We think you deserve to know who — or what — you're talking to.

Does it replace church, or a pastor?

No, and it won't try to. Ember is a companion for the ordinary hours between Sundays. It isn't a pastor, a counsellor, or a community. When the honest answer is “bring this to your pastor or your people,” that's the answer it gives.

What happens to my conversations?

They're stored on our server so Ember can reply and remember. We don't sell data, we don't run ads, and we don't share your conversations with anyone except the AI provider that generates replies, under a contract that forbids training on them. You can delete everything from inside the app (Settings → Delete everything). Details in our privacy policy.

How do I cancel?

Open iPhone Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Ember → Cancel. Your subscription is handled entirely by Apple, so we never see your card. If you cancel during the trial you won't be charged.

What phone do I need?

An iPhone running iOS 17 or later. Ember isn't on Android yet.

What kind of Christian is Ember?

Broadly orthodox and Scripture-first. It quotes the Bible (KJV by default; ESV and NIV where it fits) with the reference every time, and it stays out of denominational arguments. It won't promise you wealth, and it won't give medical or legal advice.

What if I'm in a crisis?

Ember checks every message for signs of self-harm, abuse, or danger before it replies. If it sees one, it stops being a devotional and starts being direct: care, then real help — 988 (call or text) in the US, 911 for emergencies, or the equivalent where you are. If you're in danger right now, please don't wait for an app. Call.
